so kelly walsh has been in the hospital since saturday because of asthma problems. she was supposed to get out yesterday, but they found out she has pneumonia, so they are not discharging her until tonight, or maybe tomorrow. school is all wrong without her. i dont like it. at all. maria and i ditched gym class yesterday and went to go see her. she is doing good, but evidently not good enough to get back home. if you pray, could you please pray for her. thank you.

tomorrow is our tv recording session for choir. its going to be so stupid. today when we were practicing, i was pretty much crying.(but pretending to be "joyful" so mr. jay wouldn't yell at me for frowning) i guess i should keep a positive attitude though. its just hard.

and im freezing. plus its 5:20 and its already dark out. what gives? i want to go to sleep.

I HATE MONEY.

I HATE MONEY.
so much.

im compiling a list of my debts. (yes erin and kaitlin you are on this list) and its really making me realize that i am living too much on credit. i cant do that. or i will never ever have money. if i ever want a credit card. DONT LET ME GET ONE. i owe mom upwards of 300 bucks. a good chunk of that is for school, but still. i keep can't buy things when i dont really have the money. and im really bad at keeping track of what money i have. ughhhh.  so horrible.

on another note...THE RED SOX ARE THE ONLY MAKING ME SMILE TONIGHT! (them and my wolfkitty) =D

majorrr update

Dear world,
i haven't written anything here since, well it was a while ago.

things that are different:
1. me: I am different. The Youth 2000 retreat changed a lot of things. I'm trying to complain less and be nicer. I'm trying to trust in God in every situation that I am where I'm meant to be. I'm trying to be confident in myself, by myself, not always needing the approval/affirmation of everyone else. I'm trying to be a better person, inside and out. I say "trying" because I am nowhere near making all of these changes yet, but I know that if i at least try, God will give me the strength to complete them.

2. erin moved: My thoughts on erin moving are mixed. I am extremely excited for her, but I also miss her terribly and I do admit I have started crying at random times, wishing she was at home. Now I have this huge room to make a mess of all by myself, which is NOT GOOD. It sounds like she is having an amazing time though, and I have a feeling she will be living in the city for quite a bit.

3. school got better: All the things that made the first day unbearable are still there, I just adjusted and found a way to either ignore them or live without them. Art class has been really interesting. I'm finding out that I don't really suck that bad at art, I just need to be more confident in my own abilities instead of trying to paint/draw as good as someone else. Physics has been pretty ok since I moved into the other class. It does get boring sometimes, but I prefer boredom to having Mrs Cooper as a teacher. Lit has been one train wreck of a class after another, but at least its entertaining and we might go to mystic seaport. Choir is good this year, despite us losing our tenor and bass sections to the real world. We are doing a lot of exciting things. OH yes, and Martin Jern just gave me a cd of a bunch of pictures from last year, they are in my facebook album called "we fly high, no lie", so check those out.

4. i got a new cell phone/glasses: I think this one is self explanatory. My cell phone is a Black Cherry Chocolate. Its very pretty and I am a little bit too obsessed with it. My glasses are really stylish. They make me feel sophisticated. I dont actually need them that badly, the prescription is really weak, but they were really cute and really cheap so I got them. They actually do make things clearer for driving, and thats nice.

5. i started working: I have officially started work at In the Dog House. I went in last Saturday to train and then I went again last night and I worked this morning. I was a little nervous for today, but it turns out I had no reason to be. Everyone who came in today was very patient with my idiotic bumbling behavior. HAH. I shouldn't be so hard on myself though, I did just fine for my first day. (confidence. confidence.)

6. i got a new kitten!: The most exciting thing in my life right now is my new kitten. There is a whole long story about it, so if you are content with simply knowing that I have a new kitten and don't want all the details, stop reading now. Ok here it goes.
Earlier this week I was talking to Bub online and he told me about this girl Tori who was trying to get rid of some kittens, but couldn't find a home for her last one. I decided that i had to have that kitten, because I felt really bad for it since no one seemed to want him. Within the next two days I talked mom into allowing me to get a new kitten, and contacted Tori. Then on Thursday I was again talking to Bub online (hah. i always am) and he told me that Tori's six year old cousin's cat died the night before and the little girl was devastated and crying and she wanted a new kitten. There was no way that I was going to take a kitten away from a 6 year old, so I decided to give up the kitten and let Tori's cousin have it. I was kind of bummed, cause I really had it in my head that I was going to get a kitten. Then Bub told me that he knew of a place in Palmer that was giving away kittens and he said that he would try really hard to get me one the next day after school. And he did! =D He went after he got out of school and picked out a kitten for me and brought it to my school. When he got there we were in art class so I just sitting doing my painting and someone tapped me on the shoulder and I turned and saw him with the kitten and I'm pretty sure I said something to the effect of "OHMYGOD!!!!! thankyouuuuuu!" I was so happy, I wanted to cry. I can't believe how blessed I am to have him as my best friend. I love him.
Needless to say, the kitten is incredibly adorable.  Bub named him Link. (like Link from Zelda, not hairspray.) He is so tiny and fluffy and cuddly. I love him.
and now pictures!

Link! He likes to take naps in my blankets.

playing with his present from Jada from the store!

That was my very lengthy update. I hope you enjoyed it, and if you didn't, I hope you at least think my kitten is cute. =D
Love,
Kelsie
